A wedding brings together unity, love, and celebration. What’s even more beautiful is when two lovers in two different countries, come together among family and friends to form a sacred bond of marriage.
I had the utmost pleasure and opportunity of planning this special day for the lovely couple whom I am good friends with. I also made the time to create by hand all of their royal blue centerpieces for each guest tables including one especially for the Bride and Groom. It was a tedious task to create each piece by hand, but it’s what I’m in the business to do: take the time to ensure that special day is perfect for the bride and groom.
You wouldn’t think just by looking at the photos, but I actually had to plan the wedding here in Canada for the ceremony to take place in Grenada. That meant reaching out and organized plans with all the vendors to ensure everything would be prepared on time for the big day. It required many phone calls overseas and constant tracking on the status of production. I treat every wedding as if it were my own, so this was no exception given it was in another country. This wedding deserved the same amount of treatment and respect to be spectacular like mines and every other one I plan too.
Blue represents many thing and in particular it is associated with freedom, inspiration, trust, loyalty and stability. For a couple who have been together for over 20 years, this colour especially symbolized all these attributes towards the strength and love they have for each other. Combined with a divine tropical day and a bride glowing in her gorgeous white wedding gown, it reflected the exquisiteness of it all.
Near or far, it was worth every moment to be a part of their wedding day. Congratulations again Denise and Alfred!
